Capacity Building Programs

Our approach to capacity building is deliberately different.

Through our proven Future Perfect system, we combine deep expert insight with hands-on activities, real-world case studies, and practical tools that teams can use immediately.

Programs are designed around live challenges clients are facing, not abstract theory, and are grounded in global experience across financial institutions, corporates, regulators, and policymakers.

We support teams in developing the capabilities they need to make better decisions through targeted risk and opportunity workshops, structured training programs and courses, and applied technical assistance. Further detail and illustrative examples of each are set out below.

Risk and Opportunity Workshops

Our risk and opportunity workshops help organizations make sense of new regulations, emerging technologies, and fast-moving strategic challenges.

Workshops are modular and highly customizable, allowing sessions to be tailored to the audience’s unique needs. Expert-led sessions are grounded in practical cases and focused on how participants can identify, prioritize, and respond to the risks and opportunities most relevant to their roles.

Workshops always are highly engaging and interactive and conclude with specific guidance for participants to apply going forward.

Topics have included: AI for sustainability and risk analysis; climate scenario analysis; nature risks; green products; transition planning; and sustainability disclosure requirements.

Recent example projects:

- AI for sustainability: green flags and red flags
Workshop delivered for a bank, focused on how to implement AI in sustainability and risk processes effectively and responsibly, including realistic use cases, governance considerations, and common pitfalls.

- ISSB disclosure expectations

Training Programs and Courses

Designed to build skills and knowledge at scale, our training programs and courses support organizations, institutions, and professionals to develop lasting capabilities.

Institution-wide training programs are structured and sequenced, enabling learning to be embedded across teams, functions, and levels of seniority. Programs are bespoke and combine expert instruction, applied exercises, and tested learning methods to support understanding and practical application.

Alongside organizational training, we design and deliver professional and academic courses in partnership with universities, professional bodies, and industry organizations. These courses help translate emerging sustainability, climate, and risk topics into rigorous curricula that support professional development and formal education.

Selected topics can include: climate and transition risk; sustainability and climate disclosure; transition planning; scenario analysis; sustainable finance; AI and sustainability; and decision-making under uncertainty.

Recent example projects:

- Internal investor training program
Yearlong training program for multiple teams and departments on climate risks, emerging regulations, and new opportunities in adaptation and resilience.

- Executive education program
Course developed and delivered on sustainability and green finance for financial professionals. Accredited by the Institute of Bankers and University College Dublin.

Technical Assistance

We support financial institutions and development organizations in building the capacity of clients, counterparties, and local institutions.

Technical assistance programs are designed to be practical and applied, combining expert support, targeted training, and hands-on guidance. Work is tailored to local contexts and delivered in close collaboration with financial institutions, DFIs, and partner organizations to ensure relevance and uptake.

This work often focuses on enabling market participants to access finance, manage risk, and respond to new sustainability and climate-related expectations, particularly in emerging and developing markets.

Selected topics include: climate and transition risk; nature-related risks; green financial instruments; sustainable finance frameworks; transition planning; sustainability and climate disclosure; and adaptation and resilience.

Recent example projects:

- Emerging market capacity-building program
